Clay Tomlinson Undergraduate Student
Clay Tomlinson is an undergraduate student in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences studying Molecular and Cellular Biology. In the Schneck Lab, he researches CD8+ T cell activation using artificial antigen-presenting cells to optimize adoptive cell therapy techniques. Clay received a 2025 Summer PURA Award for his project on the effects of ICAM-1 on CD8+ T cells and presented his research at the 2025 REAL Showcase. Outside of the lab, he works as a climbing instructor with JHU’s Outdoor Pursuits and volunteers as an EMT with the Hopkins Emergency Response Organization and White Marsh Volunteer Fire Department. Clay plans to apply to medical school in the 2026-2027 application cycle.
